I quite intentionally mean it as an insult.
Why, you ask??
Ok...I'll tell you.
1. Both B & H are pure "liberals" -- and I am using this term in its historically proper sense, meaning moral reasoning which determines right and wrong exclusively by assessing the estimated balance of good over evil likely to result. [Teleology is the technical term.]
- What's wrong with that?? Need you ask!? Think about it: it means for pure liberals, the rights embodied in the First Amendment, for example, are solely contingent on the likely consequences. If for some reason abandoning the right to free speech is thought to produce more good than evil [like national security] than so much for the First Amendment! And how is this determined? Well, by popular preference! Pure Majority Rule! [The thing Alexis de Tocqueville warned us about in 1835 and 1850 as "the tyranny of the majority.]
- BTW...the ACLU is NOT a "liberal" organization...it is genuinely "conservative -- meaning that it takes certain rights as not dependent in any way on majority preferences [Deontology being the technical term].
- Anyone who reasons in such a way as to threaten the First Amendment...in my book...is an idiot...an asshole....a fucking asshole…dangerous in their monumental stupidity!! HILLBILLYS!!
2. B & H are "joined at the hips" -- not literally, of course, since apparently the B part had elected not to associate his hips any longer with the H part. And, no doubt, the H part is equally antithetical to that notion.
- You want one...you get the other -- as the B part averred years ago. And the H part is, de facto, alleging the same.
3. As for the current "race" toward the White House, I'd love to have a woman to consider, and I would indeed consider her gender as mighty important in my decision -- it's about time! There just isn't any such person in the contest this time. This time, there's only a "hillbilly"!
4. Didn't we already have this pair a few years ago....?!?!!!
Finally, I offer my apologies to all who use the term "hillbilly" in a more positive, perhaps endearing, way. To them, I say, get a good dictionary....
